Winter ice cream
I thought in the summer that I had explored enough unique ice cream flavours, but it turns out that in Poland there are new offerings in the winter, Christmas varieties I had never seen or tasted before. Today I encountered poppy seed and gingerbread ice cream flavours. Poppy seeds are important during the Christmas season in this part of the world, as every table features traditional poppy seed cakes and other poppy seed desserts. Gingerbread is a typical flavour (and scent) in many countries, including Canada. I must say that the gingerbread ice cream was quite delicious and tasted like Christmas. From now on, I will be on a lookout for other seasonal varieties not only in the summer.
